Beatlemania

Yellow submarine

In this song their talking about them sailing in a yellow submarine in the sea together, and how their free and able to do what they want.

It's different from the 1940's because the in 1940's they were soft singers and sang jazz kinds of stuff and the beatles sing rock 'n' roll, Jazz and rock 'n' roll are completely different things jazz is soft flowing music and rock 'n' roll is like your wanting to get up and move.

Here are the lyrics.

In the town where I was born
Lived a man who sailed to sea
And he told us of his life
In the land of submarines
So we sailed up to the sun
'Til we found a sea of green
And we lived beneath the waves
In our yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
And our friends are all aboard
Many more of them live next door
And the band begins to play
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
(Full speed ahead Mr. Parker, full speed ahead
Full speed ahead it is, Sergeant
Action station, action station
Aye, aye, sir, fire
Captain, captain)
As we live a life of ease
Everyone of us has all we need (has all we need)
Sky of blue (sky of blue) and sea of green (and sea of green)
In our yellow submarine (in our yellow, submarine, ha ha)
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine

Neutralisation

Method:

1. Get a Test tube rack, 6 test tubes, acid, base and universal indicator

2. Fill 4 test tubes with 3 mL of acid

3. Fill 2 test tubes with 3mL of of base

4. Add a squirt of universal indicator to each

5. Add different amounts of acid and base to make the colours of the rainbow (ROYGBI)

Results:

Discussion:

We learned how to make the colours of the rainbow with chemicals mine turned out not bad but we couldn't make indigo so we made them light and we made a light blue so we could use the dark blue as indigo. Yesterday for our experiment we learned how to make natural indicators with the rainbow.

I think my group did a really good job we got all the colours for the rainbow and I think i would do it again.

Conclusion:

In our results you can see that it worked, I don't think I would do anything differently because I had fun my group had fun and it was fun just using chemicals to make colours of the rainbow i would gladly do it again and I would do it exactly the same and wouldn't change it.

Significance of WW1 - The Last Post

When do you hear this song?

We usually hear it on the ANZAC day dawn services in ANZAC cove, but you can hear it when your at a military funeral or when your at an ANZAC March.

Why is this song significant/Important to New Zealand?

It's important to New Zealand because it's a sign of remembrance and for all the people that fought for our country that passed away in the war or the ones that passed away after the war and for all the familys that had someone from there family fight in the war.

What is the history behind the last post and why was it played and when?

It is a military tradition to play the last post, The last post is the bugle call that signifies the end of the days activities. It is also sounded at military funerals to indicate that the soldier has gone to his/her  final rest and at commemorative services such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.

Music Through Time - slavery

In 1860 African girls, boys, men and women were taken and used as slaves in america and the only way they were able to escape or communicate was by singing. They used singing at all kinds of things such as funerals, weddings (if they were aloud one) and they also used them for escape plans and they sang to keep them self's company while they were working for hours in a day, some of them ended up getting out from a women.

The women was Harriet Tubman, She is also known as Moses she is most famous for helping thousands of people get out of the slave states in america. She helped them escape with these underground railroads, She made all kinds of pathways to get them in the other parts of america, they sung one of these songs.

The song was 'wade in the water', this song is about Africans jumping in the water to get there scent off so that the guards or guard dogs couldn't smell them out so they can escape, I think that was an awesome way to get out of that place because it is smart and it also saves them.

It is still important today because family's still get affected from them knowing it was there familys and ancestors that had to go through that and many musicians today still protest this just like the Black Live Matter Movement because these are all important things for everyone

the price of my Gift bags is $2.50. its just spouse to be fun.

the reason why it is $2.50 is because it is just for fun and we don't want it to be that expensive because of that reason and its not free because we need to make money and make a profit.

Gift bags

The product i'm doing is Gift bags, The product is designed for people to have fun, The purpose for this is so people can have a bit of a surprise and have fun with the surprises that's inside. The quality of our product is really good people like gift bags because they got sold out last time I did them and I think it would be a good Idea to do it again because I know how to get the people to come to my stand.

The size is Medium the volume is medium and the shape is rectangle, The packing is rectangular shape and the bag is deep, the ingredients/raw materials are Bags, Bubbles, Pom poms, and Lolly's, I don't think it fits in to a product that already exists because you can't find gift bags in the shops already made so I think it doesn't fit under products that already exist, I don't think we need to provide services for our product, I think we have a really good product and I think it will sell out

Power to the people- Structure of NZ Government

Today in power to the people we had to make a drawing of Sturcture of the NZ Government and what we learned about it.

What I learned was that the Queen isn't in charge of much she is just the head of state as well as Dame pasty Reddy the people that are in charge are the people that go into the beehive such as, The Prime minister or the Mps, they are the ones that also make the laws and then when they have done with the laws they give it to the people to make some then they check it then they debate about it again then when they are do the give it to Dame Pasty Reddy and then if she thinks there good enough laws she signs it then gives it to the queen.

I think this is a good suject because you learn about government and you also get to learn about voting and its a really good thing to learn. Anyway Thanks for reading Byeeee Can you please leave a comment.
